Development and Infrastructure
We are overtaxing our infrastructure while undertaxing overseas investors. As we learned during Harvey, development must be responsible, and help - not hurt - our residents and businesses.
As the health care capital of the world, we have a duty to educate our citizens, particularly younger generations, on topics like HIV/AIDS prevention. We must also ensure disadvantaged Houstonians have health care access.
Houston made its voice clear in the 2018 election: the will of the people was to pay our brave firefighters fairly for the dangerous work they do. I pledge to work with city government on a solution that honors HFD and keeps us safe.
